MITSUO is a small Belgium-based enterprise made up of two Belgian-Japanese sisters handcrafting unique treasures for you and your home. Growing up with a creative mother who would always give us lovingly handmade presents, we’ve both been exposed to the DIY spirit all our lives. Creating and collecting beautiful yet quirky things is part of who we are and how we share our love for each other. Motivated by our late great-uncle Mitsuo (endearingly dubbed Micchan) his entrepeneurial mind we decided to join our creative efforts into this project to share the love with you. We hope you will cherish your purchase for a lifetime!
MITSUO is focused on exclusivity: all our items are made out of handpicked materials and then carefully constructed by yours truly. Therefore they will show slight imperfections and variations in colour and size depending on the batch. This makes every MITSUO piece a one-of-a-kind artefact. Collections will be limited so shopping at MITSUO will always be a surprising experience. This conscious way of creating is our little protest against the overconsumption of disposable mass-produced junk.
